The 2019 Annual Report from the Tenancy Deposit Scheme makes interesting reading.  Specifically, the percentage of deposits ending in dispute is very low at 1% – which may surprise you!

28th February 2020 sees The Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019 – Holding Deposit Specific Information regulations come into force. ARLA has produced a useful Factsheet detailing the information that must be provided to prospective tenants – otherwise you won’t be able to retain the holding deposit under any circumstances.
